Annie Famose

That family side isn't an accident either.

Back in 1975, another French Olympic ski racer, Annie Famose, set up the Village des Enfants right in the middle of the resort.

It's this massive five-hectare dedicated learning zone where kids as young as three learn to ski using game-based methods.

Because the whole town is pedestrianized, parents can just sit on a café terrace with a coffee and watch their kids learn to ski without worrying about a single car.
