Really beautifully performed, considering-

So whose story do we want to tell out of that mass movement and those however many thousands of people in the plaza all praying the same prayer? Obviously, we want to tell the story of the person who's not doing it right or who's doing their own thing or doing something different from the rest of the crowd and how that pans out, which obviously we don't find out yet.

It's, I guess, the fact that this episode exists suggests that poor old philosopher Meridian Veckel, played by Annette Badland, did not get her own miracle granted in the previous episode.

Or maybe that's going on in the background as well.

And the two prayers combine.

This is an episode called A Sign of Your Loving Indulgence.

And it stars Annette Badland, who you might be familiar with from Ted Lasso, is her sort of current most famous role.

Or you might be familiar with her as a Doctor Who politician who's actually a farting alien in a human suit from the Christopher Eccleston series of Doctor Who.

and many other iconic roles besides.

She's not just from, uh, Doctor Who.

She's from I Need a Miracle as well.

Uh, I'll talk a little bit after this about the writing process, how this character and this prayer changed from first to last draft, and a little bit about the recording day as well on what it was like to record with Annette Badland.
