Do you mind just giving me maybe a couple of examples of problems that you're trying to solve? So what are some of the big structural problems in African markets that, as FSD AI, you're trying to allocate capital to resolve?

So I'm sure your listeners have heard from others, and there was a great report that was launched by the AFC, Africa Finance Corporation, around the trillions of assets under management in Africa.

So basically our local domestic capital.

So they calculated that between the sovereign wealth funds, the pension funds, the insurance sector, the banking sector, Africa is sitting on about $4 trillion.

of savings, if you will.

And how is that savings being allocated? So there's a problem in the sense that we have insufficient pipes and filters and turbines within our financial system, if you want to use that analogy, to move this money into where it's needed to drive finance for businesses to enable households to access better financing solutions, depending on their particular circumstances.

I'm thinking, for example, small-scale farmers in Mozambique who are affected by flooding.

How do you know when that's happened or is happening? What metrics are you looking out for, etc.? ?

What does responsible investment need to do to remain credible with investment decision makers, beneficiaries, and wider stakeholders across markets, but also in your own markets?

I think there's a lot that can be done to bring stakeholders together to share how they have been approaching this.

And let me be explicit about that.

So FSD Africa helped or is actually the secretariat for a coalition that we put together, which is called the African Natural Capital Association.

So essentially, it is trying to bring the financial players around investing in natural capital, but also reporting on disclosure on the impact of finance on natural capital.

And that platform has enabled the big players on our market.

I mean, you talk about First Rand Group, talk about Ecobank, talk about Equity Bank, Sanlam.
