Uh, so while I'm not gonna offend that it isn't, uh, as progressive as other funding options, it was a tool that we had, and this is the way that we could get bus service running more often the quickest for Seattle residents.

So Publicola ran an op-ed recently by Anna Zivarts of the Non-Drivers Alliance, um, and she was arguing that, uh, replacing Metro's Route 7, which is the workhorse route that goes down Rainier, um, into Southeast Seattle, um, with a RapidRide, which is something that's in progress right now.

It's not related to this transit measure, but, um, it would have fewer stops.

And so, um, her argument is that people who are most reliant on the bus, um, you know, people with vision impairment, for example, um, are gonna be left out because these stops are gonna be so far apart.
