Anna Tsing

Fei-Fei is an architect, artist and co-curator of Fungi Anarchist Designers.

Developed together with anthropologist Anna Tsing, the exhibition asks what happens when we stop thinking of fungi as materials or resources and instead recognize them as designers in their own right.

Initiated and commissioned by Neue Institute in Rotterdam and developed in collaboration with scientists, the exhibition explores what fungi can teach us about coexistence, survival and design in times of ecological crisis.

Her work explores how industrial infrastructures reshape landscapes, ecologies, and forms of life, with a particular focus on the intersections of environmental transformations, social justice, and more-than-human worlds.

She works closely with social and natural scientists and translates research and observation into visual and spatial narratives that make visible the often overlooked relationships between human and non-human actors.

She has taught internationally, and together with the anthropologist Anna Tsing, she has published on more-than-human relations and the Anthropocene.

Her recent exhibition, Anarchist Designers, co-curated with Anna Tsing, opened at Neue Institute in Rotterdam in November 2025.
