Could you tell us a little bit more about how you ended up in the wonderful world of real estate? Was it something that was written in the stars, or were there a few sliding doors moments along the way?

Anna StrongmanGUEST
I think mine was more a, uh, an instinct, uh, and a general intere-interest, which ma- led me into, um, the property world.

Anna StrongmanGUEST
I studied history at university and economic history, and then I, uh, actually got a scholarship to go to Japan, where I learnt Japanese and I, I worked in a think tank in Japan looking at economic development and policy.

Anna StrongmanGUEST
Uh, so I, I think that gave me a broad interest in, in sort of economic development, in, um, evolution of cities, um, long-term trends in country development.

Anna StrongmanGUEST
And when I came back to the UK I felt, "Well, I don't really know my own country." So I went to Scotland and I worked for DTZ, which, which doesn't exist anymore.

What does excite you about the next five years in real estate? Where do you think the opportunities do lie?
