I play Siaya in North of North.

And my name is Mika Harper.

It, it took way too long for this country to invest an indigenous show to this level, and we wanted to blow the doors open for other Canadian indigenous creators.

And w- you know, the moment I heard Anna Lambe, our lead actor, talking about how young Inuit growing up today will never know a world where her character didn't exist, where this show didn't exist, I just bawled my eyes out.

Mm.

Because, you know, we had to dream outside of what had ever happened in this country.

We do outerwear like nobody else on the planet.
