So what are some of the settings that really capture your imagination? I

think I have quite a gothic storyteller mind.

It's usually a house setting.

Yeah, so the safe place was a house, a property, the shadow house, obviously, the Dark Days Hotel is a hotel, it's a building.

And that the idea from that actually came, I became obsessed with this one particular hotel, it's called Fogo Island Inn, and it's in Newfoundland.

And it's like this it looks like, what were those things on legs in Star Wars called? The AT-ATs.

Kind of looks like one of those, like it's this enormous boxy white building.

[audience applauding] Two weeks ago, I got a WhatsApp message informing me I'd been added to a new group chat.

Almost immediately, my phone lit up with new notifications, photos, comments, and a whole list of names I haven't heard of or thought about in a very long time, names that triggered a very strange mix of emotions.

The group is called RADA Back Together, and its purpose is to kick off plans for a reunion celebrating 20 years since my classmates and I graduated from one of the world's most prestigious drama schools.

"Wow," I thought.

"20 years." These people who, for three years, were my best friends, closest confidants, teammates, and competitors.

Who are they all now? Where are they? Are they happy? Am I? [audience laughing] And have any of us succeeded? I scrolled through the messages, taking stock.
