Anna Bon di Venezia

Although most remembered as a composer, Antonio Vivaldi's day job was teaching music at a home for mostly orphan girls, although occasionally there was a tuition-paying student.

One of those was Anna Bon di Venezia, who was the daughter of a librettist and singer, and became one of Vivaldi's students at age four in 1743.

She then became a composer, and here is her Flute Sonata No. 6 in G, performed by flutist Sabino Dreyer and keyboardist Irene Hagen.
