Angry Samoans

Number 89.

The Angry Samoans, back from Samoa.

Fave of yours.

Fave of mine, for sure.

Do you know the Mistaken

band? I do, yep.

Yeah, it's kind of like a softer, more friendlier version of the Angry Samoans by Metal Mike.

But definitely, like, Angry Samoans, top 100, you betcha.

They signed to Mercury Records in 1993, and they released the EP Ska Core, The Devil, and More, which was mostly cover songs.

They covered The Angry Samoans, Minor Threat, SSD, and The Wailers.

So they're doing a bunch of hardcore covers and also The Wailers on that.

[laughs]

Pete Finestone, who played drums for Fifi, and this is later on, but he was also the second drummer for Bad Religion and played on half of their first record, including Rolling in a Die, arguably their biggest song in the early days.

And the other guy, Steve Drogenski, he played guitar for Angry Samoans before this.

That's sick.

So that's cool.
