want
1:34
okay so i was originally dentist that's where the doctor mulroney comes from and I had built a practice that catered to people who are afraid of the dentist.
1:44
So we always said we cater to cowards.
1:46
And with that, I had acquired a skill set that was unique in our industry.
1:51
So dentists, 20, 30 years, my senior were sending us patients and I started to have pain in my drilling hand.
1:58
And that pain was pretty severe for about four months.
2:01
And like, I'd be throwing up with the pain.

But from a business perspective, have you seen any reoccurring themes in your business as far as certain identity crises that pop up in certain professions or industries of who you're helping?

8:45
Is it because of some kind of limiting beliefs or, yeah, I mean, what are the
8:50
reasons here? It's because the game that they learned to play worked for so long, and suddenly it doesn't work.
8:58
And what's happening is the threat of not having the ability to provide for yourself, having a financial future, having mental health and everything else, puts the body into fight, flight, or freeze.
9:11
It's the same as having a tiger breathing down your neck.
9:14
And when that happens, if people go into fight, which is usually what accomplished professionals go into because they're so used to like, you know, if I just work harder, if I get more certifications, if I play the game the way that it used to play it, just do more of it, everything will turn around.
9:28
And that isn't actually working right now because the game has changed.
9:32
And there's a few reasons why the game has changed.
SanaHOST
12:17
build my further or my second innings maybe i should talk about that but uh i think this is very very crucial and angela um let's now get to identity architecture because now we have discussed about the status quo and we always believe that there is a way out so definitely let's talk about it so from your work um what exactly is this identity architecture angela i mean What are the deeper patterns or maybe even the structural reasons that why so much of what experts once sold as insight is suddenly now in software?
4:49
So how did you get out of that dark place? What did you do? What was the road?
4:55
Well, for the two and a half years of darkness, I was listening to everyone around me because everyone was telling me, well, you know, you've built this amazing practice.
5:01
You've got this great brand.
5:03
People know who you are.
5:04
Just bring associates in in your place and they can keep doing the work.
5:08
The problem with that was that the people who were coming in to replace me had sent me patients.
5:14
And so they were feeling like they couldn't fill my boots.

Everything you just said applies to me, but how do people go through that change? How do you help people actually go from that external praise to finding their own center?
