I mean, it's kind of a joke.

Angela Ackerman said it in her session and she called me out and said, oh, writers are all introverts.

And then she's like, that's Susie Bedore.

I know that I'm the exception, but in general, writers and probably a lot of our listeners tend to be introverted, and we want to show characters that are like ourselves.

I love those and use those so many times whenever I'm editing for big picture topics.

I also can recommend, when we're talking about the emotions and making sure you're showing rather than telling, I recently found something called The Emotion Thesaurus, A Writer's Guide to Character Expression by Becca Puglisi and Angela Ackerman.

I wasn't sure what it was at first, but it's literally just a thesaurus of here's the emotion, here are physical reactions that they can have to show this.
