Angel

Well, I mean, it depends what you mean by idyllic.

I mean, living in Islington or the Angel Islington in the 1960s, It was a bit rough.

I mean, it's become very gentrified now, as a lot of places in London have.

But it was, for me, it was the only childhood I knew.

And so I said, yeah.

So loads of kids signed up for it.

I mean, you've got to remember these kids from the Angel Islington never even seen a horse properly, apart from a zoo or whatever.

And so we signed up for it.

It is hard to believe, but almost seven years ago, Daniel Hume was the very first guest on the Tech Leaders podcast all the way back in November 2019.

We sat in a dusty room in Angel, London, with some fairly modest recording equipment, and we recorded episode one.

Thankfully, the conversation went really well.
