Zach PruittHOST
He's
Zach HallHOST
big in the Buffy, the Vampire Slayer community, I think, because he was on Buffy and Angel.
Zach PruittHOST
Okay.
Zach HallHOST
But,
10 MINS LATER
Zach HallHOST
So the guy who plays Niedermeyer, his name is Mark Metcalf.
Zach PruittHOST
Okay.
Zach HallHOST
And yeah, he was in Buffy and he was in Angel and he basically kind of plays the same character.
Zach HallHOST
One of them I always want to shout out, Bruce McGill plays D-Day, Daniel Simpson Day.
JoeHOST
Right.
JoeHOST
I watched an episode of Angel today with the Buffy spinoff because I've started watching that now along with Buffy because I'm in the right place for it.
JoeHOST
Mentally.
JoeHOST
I prepared myself.
JoeHOST
There's a fucking side bad guy.
JoeHOST
He's not even the main bad guy in this episode, the episode I watched.
JoeHOST
It's like episode three of Angel.
JoeHOST
Spike is there, you know, the vampire.
Corey HughesHOST
Can't believe I got like four to go.
Corey HughesHOST
And I started watching Angel, which seems to be an incubator for modern actors.
Corey HughesHOST
So I cut Pedro Pascal was in motherfucking Angel.
Corey HughesHOST
He was in Buffy season four.
Corey HughesHOST
OK, then I'm watching Angel.
Corey HughesHOST
And there's an episode where one of his old vampire buddies from 300 years ago comes back.
Corey HughesHOST
And guess who that motherfucker was? It was fucking Hawkeye.
DavidHOST
So people like this song for movies, particularly if you think about all those movies are kind of horror or thriller-esque type songs.
DavidHOST
Also used on the WB show Angel, which, of course, Rob, was a spinoff of.
RobHOST
Buffy.
RobHOST
The Vampire Slayer.
RobHOST
Oh, yeah.
RobHOST
He's got some backing vocals on this song.
RobHOST
And the lyrics speak of an eccentric Los Angeles nightlife scene.
RobHOST
rather than actual zombies, but you get the idea.
Michael Raven ShadowHOST
it meant the one with TV's vampire from Buffy.
Michael Raven ShadowHOST
Angel.
Johnny WolfensteinHOST
He also did Bulletproof.
Johnny WolfensteinHOST
Yeah, that's right.
StevenHOST
I don't know.
JamieHOST
At this point, I'm pretty sure Buffy will never love another because of Angel.
StevenHOST
Yeah.
JamieHOST
I think that's what they were trying to go with here.
JamieHOST
you would know you know what i mean if you felt it like that so i don't know
StevenHOST
I don't know either.
StevenHOST
I think I mean, I think she loves him, but I don't think she loves him in a way like she did love Angel.
StevenHOST
I think.
Michael Lee RichardsonHOST
spike and drusilla i love drusilla oh we have we have a prime miss edith moment in this as well don't we oh she's so good uh-huh and spike obviously is a big part of the show yes yes
Callum SinclairHOST
Unless, I mean, I just, I think, like, the Spike and Angel and Drusilla of it all is great.
Callum SinclairHOST
Like, that is great.
Callum SinclairHOST
I think when you're in fandom and everything gets reduced down to, like, weird shipping wars, it's so sort of pathetic.
Callum SinclairHOST
Like, because the thing is, who do you prefer Buffy with, Angel or Spike? Neither of them.
Callum SinclairHOST
Angel, no, neither of them.
Callum SinclairHOST
Sorry, yeah.
Callum SinclairHOST
But, narratively, who is interesting? Angel at the start, Spike later on.
AJHOST
They were both on Buffy together.
AJHOST
And Angel.
AJHOST
You ever watch Angel or Buffy?
BrockHOST
Episode here and there.
BrockHOST
It's another show that is...
AJHOST
The one that didn't get made? Yeah, that one.
AJHOST
No, Buffy and
BrockHOST
Angel
Sara FergensonHOST
stomach hurts.
Sara FergensonHOST
Oh, poor, poor Angel.
Sara FergensonHOST
They did get to go shopping, which I was kind of jealous about because I want to go shopping at the mall.
Sara FergensonHOST
And he was like complaining about the mall, how it was like sticky, the food court was sticky.
10 MINS LATER
Sara FergensonHOST
Very rare.
Sara FergensonHOST
Like it doesn't, it's like a big deal that he killed two slayers.
Sara FergensonHOST
Cause I think like Angel never even killed a slayer.
Sara FergensonHOST
I don't know.
ChristinaHOST
She's likely best known to our audience for playing Harmony on Buffy.
ChristinaHOST
She was in 15 episodes of Buffy and 17 episodes of Angel playing the role of Harmony.
ChristinaHOST
And I did a little reading about it.
ChristinaHOST
She is one of a handful of women from Buffy who auditioned to play the role of Buffy and didn't get it, lost out to Sarah Michelle Gellar.
ChristinaHOST
Yep.
MicahHOST
Okay.
ChristinaHOST
She also had episodes of Touched by an Angel, Boston Public, Crossing Jordan, Supernatural, Psych, Criminal Minds.
ChristinaHOST
But her last acting credit was the TV movie Glass Heels in 2011.
