I, like, I don't know what Andy Quinn has done s- that they, they can't even try him, but, like, he doesn't do anything.

This is now four, five games now in a row where, you know, field position's so important.

Like, does Andy, like, miss kicks? I don't...

Again, they keep putting them out there.

Apparently Bryce LaFollette is definitely going to be the punter for a while because they don't seem to want to go to Andy Quinn on this one.

But that's not helping you at all.

When you're a team that needs to start winning some field position battles, having your punter go out there and just boot it 35 yards every single time is not helping you.

How about that really nice shoestring tackle there? On the punt return, Bryce LaFollette, man, saved a touchdown, forced Virginia Tech to kick a field goal.

And also just on special teams, who's going to be the punter coming out of the gates? That's something I'm really excited for.

I don't know if I'm alone in being really excited for that, but I love this Bryce LaFollette, Andy Quinn situation going on right now.

I'm team Quinn right now.

Maybe Bryce can have a big game.

He was locked down in one-on-ones and, you know, during the one-on-one receiver versus DB drills during summer sessions.

What about DJ Johnson? He really emerged today.

as a pass catching tight end and he made some big plays during the scrimmages what about some other young guys like gerald green jr jordan rodriguez who i know you and mitch are very high on and also linebacker steve klein who we saw a lot from you know during the spring and summer and also my guy andy quinn you know well he gets some reps in there as well so you know, these are guys I'm looking to see play amongst the litany of other improving talent, looking to get their feet wet in a big game.

And look, these are guys that could emerge and impress fans.

And then the third one, I don't want to pile on it because we've already talked about it a bunch with Mike Sidley.

But I'd love to see in this game what you have with Andy Quinn.

Again, this is the type of game where you can try some things out.

Bryce LaFollette had two games to kind of prove to the world that he deserves to be the starter.

And maybe that's the case.

Maybe, maybe you want to try a few with Lafayette, but hopefully you don't have to do a whole lot of it in this game.

You're playing an FCS team, but I think with a game like this, where you can experiment with things, Andy Quinn's not going to kill you, but I would love to see what he looks like against another team.

He had a 52-yard punt, I think, last year, and that was the only time.

I feel like Mason McKenzie's legs are gonna make things a lot easier for BC, but those are all those other things.

And finally, for special teams, let's see what Andy Quinn can do punting.

I'm not saying bench Bryce Lafallette.

I know Mike did on the other show, but I love to see Andy Quinn in a game punt.

Just what, what can he do? Let's see that as well.

Now, in our second segment, around the country, some BC players have been having some, or former BC players that ent- exited in the portal, have been having big games, and some people have thoughts about it.

He was booting punts into the end zone that should have been down well before the goal line.

he had a really bad 25 yard punt that set up Rutgers with good field position and you know this is definitely something like you said that I didn't see coming I mean this is a guy that was not only you know showing what kind of power he had kicking the ball but the accuracy as well the balls that would just die inside the five yard line and kick horizontally it seemed like this guy was was going to be a stud but you know he just hasn't been somebody that is even accurate and you know you said well okay if he if he can't be accurate at least you know he has that power had a 46 yard punt earlier in the game but then had a 25 yard dud in crunch time where you needed a big punt and I mean you have somebody in the wings and Andy Quinn that's a really viable option I mean it's really rare to go into a season with two punters that you feel pretty good about and Andy Quinn is You know, he's a guy that came in here last year highly regarded, so he already has a year of college training under his belt.

And let's see what he's got, man, because, I mean, this team does not have the kind of talent where you can take one of three phases of the game off.

Punting needs to be just as important as... offensive pass protection, quarterback play, running the ball.

You just don't have the horses to do that.

So I really think that this is something we shouldn't even have to talk about going forward.

It should be, yeah, Andy Quinn played great as always.

You know, he, he, he's in a position where a footnote is a good thing you know what i mean oh another great game from andy quinn unless you're ryan allen in the super bowl and whatever it's a 13 10 game 13 3 game but yeah i'm just tired of seeing inconsistency and being worried when a punter goes out there i really like bryce lafayette going in but i think it's quinn time man let's do it
