And just a fun fact.

So he really liked—his art resembled Andrew Wyeth's work.

And he really liked Andrew Wyeth.

Like, their family vacations growing up, they would go up to Maine and they would go to all the places, you know, that Andrew Wyeth would paint.

And he really, really liked him.

He would go to the Brandywine Museum a lot.

And so one time he went to the Brandywine Museum and he, in the parking lot, he ran into Andrew Wyeth there.

He was there.

And similarly, his art collection, which is spectacularly beautiful, the reason the museum is called the Museum of Narrative Art is that the opposite of abstract, every painting there tells a story.

He's got a huge collection of comic book and comic strip art because those are pictures that tell stories he's got norman rockwell's maxfield parishes lion deckers uh nc wyeth that's the father of andrew wyeth who was an illustrator of books like robin hood i mean and king arthur just unbelievable beautiful wonderful wonderful museum everybody should go there

The Pizzagalli Center for Art and Education features changing exhibitions.

The Webb Gallery features important American paintings by John Singleton Copley, Andrew Wyeth, Winslow Homer, Grandma Moses.

It is open from May through October.

So it is not open in the winter, but it is open from late spring to early fall.

Yeah, of course.

So while the movie was not filmed in Maine, it did get its look from a very famous Mainer, an artist named Andrew Wyeth.

Have you ever heard of him?

I can't place his name off the top of my head, no.

So the way we see it is not how he would've seen it when he first toured it.

It looked a lot different.

And in preparation for filming, he showed the cinematographer and the costume designer a bunch of Andrew Wyeth paintings.

So I'm gonna show you a few here, Charlie, and I want you to tell me if you think I picked some of the same ones that Sanchez was thinking about when he filmed Marrowbone.

In this case, I think it was this almost the first page in the book, so that's neat.

But the girl just standing with her arms out, and there's a few paintings where I've seen particularly of girls standing in fields, and I, I think it's Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World is one, you know, which is for many Americans a very well-known image of this girl in an open field looking towards a house on the horizon, um, and it's got a very disquieting feeling about it, and that's the sort of feeling I was interested in my work.

There's an Australian painter, Geoffrey Smart, who often has these tiny figures in these vast landscapes with a A bit of an industrial menace and a painter that I was really fascinated with and kind of got me onto painting when I was a young person is a Australian impressionist, Arthur Streeton.

And he has some paintings of, um, like figures in fields.

It's like the Christmas painting.

And then they had Andrew Wyeth, like an interior artist.

And those paintings were all made within 10 years of each other.

Like those artists, American artists within 10 years of each other, those paintings.

That's why I want to try painting to see what the old portrait people did.

And I love Andrew Wyeth and Rockwell and Sargent and NC Wyeth.

And I want to just try what they do and capture moments in a more present way.

So yeah, that's maybe an exhibition here and there, hopefully.

And Chris wanted it right away, so the Friday night I sold it to him.

And that next day, the Saturday, of course, one of the people that loved Shep's work was Andrew Wyeth.

So Andrew and Betsy and son Jamie come in and they're making the rounds.

And Shep introduces me again to Andrew.

Like they still look great, but their hair just is a mess.

So we meet Adrian's roommate who tries stealing this postcard with the portrait of Christina's world by Andrew Wyeth.

I believe that's how you say it.

It's a very famous illustration.
