Andrew Shtulman

I'm your host, Deena Weisberg.

On today's episode, I talk with Andrew Shtulman, professor of psychology at Occidental College.

He studies concepts, the mental structures that allow us to organize and interpret our perceptual experience, and that allow us to imagine.

When you look at what kinds of stories kids prefer to listen to and how they would prefer to complete the story, they tend to gravitate towards realism rather than fantasy.

Thank you.

[upbeat music] Thanks for listening.
