EvanHOST

Or, as some people believe, these things are actually existing in the world.
EvanHOST
76:34
That's a whole other sort of ontology if you're in the Andrew Gallimore field of these entities being real and, you know, divorced from us.
EvanHOST
76:44
But I think that DMT in increased concentrations, yes, not fully psychedelic concentrations, could be having some effect to this entity.
EvanHOST
76:53
You know, and...
Keith ThompsonGUEST
40:16
And my work, it's very McKenna-like.
Keith ThompsonGUEST
40:20
It goes further into the death by astonishment by Gallimore.
Keith ThompsonGUEST
40:25
I don't know if John ever did DMT, which is a chapter in my book.
Keith ThompsonGUEST
40:29
It's my favorite, in many ways, my favorite chapter because it's something just seemed to click in which...

Thank you so much, Base44.
Keith ThompsonGUEST
45:47
Gallimore and Strassman, whose works I very much like and respect and admire.
Keith ThompsonGUEST
45:52
I made, by the way, chapter seven of my book is devoted to the DMT phenomenon.
Mark GagnonHOST
15:46
There's one
Danny GolerGUEST
15:48
argument that I really love employing by Dr. Andrew Gallimore that actually puts that idea that you need to necessarily just observe it over longer and longer periods of time with more and more people to actually say something substantial about it.
Danny GolerGUEST
16:06
It's true.
Danny GolerGUEST
16:07
However, the fact that the brain doesn't make up content should be a hint as to the fact that actually something real is going on.
Mark GagnonHOST
19:08
that we don't perceive because we don't really need to and that evolution does not set us up to perceive reality in the truest sense and like the principal sense but our senses help us to evolve and to survive and so that's what we're outfitted for as human beings that we don't need to see all these things birds have extra cones in their eyes like they can see a different spectrum of light than we see so as far as perception is involved in this consciousness conversation and how perception influences their understanding of reality they live in a subtly different reality than we live in not only because they're birds and obviously they're processing and computational power of course but even just the things that they see like if you were dropped in with your consciousness into a bird's mind you would see the world vastly differently and he describes this like the the computer interface like when you open up your computer and you're dealing with like your desktop and you see files on the desktop that's not the computer like there's binary and ones and zeros and like hardware inside there's an entire world and system in the computer and you are using the ui you're using this computer interface in order to manage and deal with it and i think it's the best sort of example to sort of get me on to understand like okay we're using an operating system and those are our senses and that is how we perceive reality but it is not the totality of of what reality is so now that there's this gray area it's like well to suggest that there's an additional reality that can be induced through dmt other psychedelics it's like why not that could just be an extension of this thing it's like we call it spiritualism or woo or whatever but maybe that is just a physics or a tech a science that we just don't really have the words for or the ability to test So I'm curious for you, before even DMT, what were the other psychedelic experiences and what did you ascertain from them? Can you give me stories and examples of what those experiences were like?
Danny GolerGUEST
21:00
Yeah, but just if you don't mind, I just want to say a couple of words about what you just said.
Danny GolerGUEST
21:04
So in fact, I don't know if you noticed, but the Trace Institute, which is what Don's project now became, where they're fully working this out with mathematicians and physicists, they They're actually collaborating now with Andrew Gallimore, the guy who I just told you about.
Danny GolerGUEST
21:21
I didn't know that.
Keith ThompsonGUEST
52:10
So Strassman is one of the first researchers given a license to possess DMT and to give it in a controlled setting.
Keith ThompsonGUEST
52:19
Also, Andrew Gallimore, a marvelous researcher, wrote a book last year called Death by Astonishment.
Keith ThompsonGUEST
52:27
And also, You're absolutely right.
Keith ThompsonGUEST
52:30
Rather than the mainstream view is, oh, people take DMT or anything like it, but let's stick with DMT.
Jim TateGUEST
50:23
And so, you know, DMT, where is that information coming from? You know, that's the thing.
Jim TateGUEST
50:33
The best book I've ever read on DMT is Andrew Gallimore's book, called Death by Astonishment.
Jim TateGUEST
50:41
I don't know if you've run across that, Shane.
Jim TateGUEST
50:43
I recommend that book.
Seth KicklighterGUEST

And... eventually if you do it enough times they will talk to you and say hey you're coming here too much you're you're not coming here for the right reasons you should be here to learn they want you to think that's what they're concerned about that your spiritual education right um they're saying you're just coming here for fun this has happened to dozens and dozens of people by the way you can find testimonies that are everywhere um and they will kick you out and they'll snap their fingers essentially and boom you'll go from an out-of-body simulation to back in your body instantly when they say so right And then after that, if you smoke a bunch of DMT, if you smoke 10 or 20 X the usual amount to get you out of body, you will not get out of body no matter what.
Seth KicklighterGUEST
18:54
And this is a drug that gets people out of body easily, right? So if they're saying you're done when we say you're done, and then they're not coming back to pick you up and take you anywhere after you smoke a ton of DMT, that shows that it's not your own spiritual power, but it's obviously facilitated by them completely, which the top DMT researcher in the world, Andrew Gallimore, absolutely agrees with me.
Seth KicklighterGUEST
19:17
He's just not a Christian and he won't say the demonic stuff, but he absolutely agrees they can facilitate entire visions and they're controlling the entire perception theatrically for theatrical purposes.
Seth KicklighterGUEST
19:28
uh, narrative and mythology purposes to create concepts and cosmologies that don't exist.

Now he's brought physicists, mathematicians and neuroscientists together into a new research organisation, the Trace Institute.
EvanHOST

Their first collaboration is with a friend of this channel, Andrew Gallimore.
EvanHOST
2:51
Are DMT entities real? Are they traces of consciousness that exist beyond our headset? And I couldn't be more excited to announce that Giant Shoulder are partnering with Trace Institute on what might be the most ambitious research program in all of science.

So the payoff will be that by not having our theories stuck in a space time headset, allowing us to have a model in which we take conscious experiences as our foundation and space-time as a trivial headset that experience can build, then we're opened up to a broader range of phenomena that I think we have some empirical evidence needs to be explored.
Don HoffmanGUEST
84:44
Very cool.
EvanHOST
84:45
I was thrilled to see your collaboration with Andrew Gallimore.
EvanHOST
84:50
I'm a huge fan.
Mike TylerHOST
3:37
Shit, pot makes me go down a rabbit hole of bad memories, so I don't want this crap.
Todd BrandtHOST
3:43
We got a guy named Andrew Gallimore from the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, Donald Hoffman from the University of California, Irvine, and mathematician Niffi...
Todd BrandtHOST
3:54
No one names their kid Niffi anymore.
Mike TylerHOST
3:56
No, they don't, man.
EvanHOST
31:28
But i- interestingly, more and more the neuroscientists in the DMT space have been bringing up UFO type phenomenology and experiences more.
EvanHOST
31:38
You know, I just finished Andrew Gallimore's book, Death by Astonishment.
EvanHOST
31:41
He's one of the leading DMT researchers in the world, and he draws the parallels between the DMT experience and DMT phenomenology, and UFO abduction experience and phenomenology.
EvanHOST
31:53
And this whole intersection is also really interesting to me.
