They're just doing it differently now.

Yeah.

And what used to happen in the 70s, 80s and 90s is that teachers right away wouldn't believe their students.

They would just simply say, absolutely not.

And if you talk about this, you'll be expelled.

Or if you talk about this, you'll go to detention with the same person that abused them.

It was never spoken seriously.

And no matter how stressed out I get from a case, I can guarantee you the people that it's happened to are far more brave and far more resilient than what I'm doing.

So the fact that they choose me to come forward and tell their story, yeah, it's an honor for me.

Um, and I just make sure I do my best, and you know, everyone needs, got their own channels of how they, they deal with their, their stresses, and my thing is I'm in a position where I can come and help people, and the fact that no one was jumping up and down to get this law changed, I thought, "You know what? It's the right thing to do.

If no one's gonna get their voice out there to hear it, let it be me." When I teamed up with Fighters Against Child Abuse Australia, Adam, who's been advocating for law change for 10 years, he said to me, "My goal is to make Australia the most dangerous place in the world to do this." And I support him.

And you know, not only will you lose your freedom and your liberty, you'll lose everything you've worked for, and so you're gonna start seeing a few people that offend and then going, "Oh, well, if this super changes, I'm not gonna get out of jail and go back to my house."

Yeah.

And unfortunately, with most of these people being narcissistic, unfortunately they go to court and they go to jail thinking that they're still innocent.

Explain to my audience what that is and the difficulty in locating the victims and bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Well, it all basically started during COVID where these sickos couldn't go on their overseas holidays where they'd abused children.

So what they do is they found a conduit in places like Cambodia, Brazil and the Philippines to actually pay people for sometimes the cost of a cup of coffee to actually live stream child abuse occurring so they can actually coach someone into how they want to harm a child.

Now, the hard thing about authorities trying to find these people is they're not actually possessing this information on their phone.

They're live streaming it through encrypted apps and then it's gone.

Now, unless that the technological companies, the ones that actually harbour this abuse and the ones that actually enable these encrypt conversations to occur, there's probably nothing that the Australian government can do.

If you start throwing bills and fines at these providers that actually permit this from occurring, that's when we might see actually a downturn in these.
