Andrea, you could tell us maybe what are your musical influences? What are your folk influences? And how did you develop out of those sorts of things?

Yeah, I mean, I've been inspired by a lot of different musicians.

Growing up, there was so much James Taylor being played in my house.

My dad played like all of his songs on guitar.

And so Sort of like those classics, James Taylor, Paul Simon.

Those were big influences for me.

But then when I went to college, we had to do this like seminar our senior year of college.

So I don't know, what's your reaction to all of this and what is the role of the political folk musician today and what are we supposed to do? And is there anything happening that should be happening more than it is?

Andrea, how did you find an agent?

I self-booked for a while as well.

And then when I had my first label release and I had my manager, he sort of brought on the different people.

And then I sort of parted ways with that entire team and then sort of rebuilt my team back over again.

And so the second time around, it was just sort of cold calling a bunch of agents that I knew people liked to work with and sort of friends and connections and then I was able to find my agent now so and then I also have like a UK EU booking agent as well and he I've found through my friend Lydia who we toured together with over there so I mean it's really hard to break into that like you know it's so interesting every level of this industry you have to break through so many doors and then once you're there it's sort of like you're starting all over again it just it never stops like it's It is a total marathon.

But it's kind of genre dependent.

Like I'm in a very saturated and obvious genre.

Yeah.
