Andrew PappasHOST

This is Hamilton County Republican Party Chair Josh Gerth, former Anderson Township trustee for, was it 12?
Josh GerthGUEST
3:33
I think, yeah.
Andrew PappasHOST
3:34
Something, it seemed like.

17 MINS LATER

Andrew PappasHOST
20:42
But the simple fact of the matter is that you're exactly right.
Andrew PappasHOST
20:48
We need to learn our lessons, and we need to pay very close attention.
Andrew PappasHOST
20:53
And we had an experience – Here in Anderson Township, this last election cycle, we've seen what happens when Republicans stay home.
Andrew PappasHOST
21:01
And it's not – and we will be bearing – that tree is going to be bearing bitter fruit for some time to come.
Andy BrownfieldHOST
10:30
So some of our first trips with a newborn was to Costco to stock up on supplies like Kirkland baby formula, diapers, and wipes.
Andy BrownfieldHOST
10:38
And the nearest one's in Florence, and that's about a 25-minute drive from us in Anderson Township.
Andy BrownfieldHOST
10:42
But over my paternity leave, Brian Planalp reported that there's going to be a new Costco much closer to being Eastgate.
Andy BrownfieldHOST
10:49
And he just reported that it got approval recently from Union Township's Board of Trustees, which shed a little bit more light on the size and scope of this Costco.
Jeff WielandHOST
12:02
Tell us more about you.
Logan RadloveGUEST
12:05
Well, I, I grew up in, uh, in Anderson Township.
Logan RadloveGUEST
12:08
I'm a, I'm a Cincinnati guy, uh, at heart, native, grew up here.
Logan RadloveGUEST
12:12
Um, you know, um, I've been in the real estate tech world, uh, for a long time, you know, dating back to, uh, you know, the early or, uh, 2000s and, and when Dot Loop came around.
Logan RadloveGUEST
13:05
Uh, I'm based out of Cincinnati.
Jeff WielandHOST
13:07
I meant which, which, uh, Coldwell Banker office are, are you out of?
Logan RadloveGUEST
13:11
Anderson Township.
Logan RadloveGUEST
13:12
Anderson.
Andy BrownfieldHOST
2:38
Even something like Zillow.
Andy BrownfieldHOST
2:39
I mean, Hannah and I, we were on the market for two years before finding our current home in Anderson Township, and the first thing every morning, I'd wake up and check the new listings, or in the middle of the day, get a ping that there were new houses that met our criteria.
Andy BrownfieldHOST
2:52
Eh, we were in the thick of the post-pandemic seller's market, where houses went pending for tens of thousands of dollars over asking price the same day they hit the market.
Andy BrownfieldHOST
3:00
And a lot of that was driven by the low inventory because people who'd locked in low interest rates during the pandemic weren't selling.
Andrew PappasHOST
51:47
... cause to rally around, however, you know, just insane the cause is, and that she has relevance because then she's standing with a bunch of other people with voids in their lives.
Andrew PappasHOST
51:58
As happens here in Anderson Township, they tend to travel in packs or herds, as I like to refer to them.
Dan CarrollHOST
52:04
Moo.
Andrew PappasHOST
52:05
And they get-
Sean DennedyHOST
12:11
A lot of that stuff are things that we as agents can interpret, understand, and know, not to mention our knowledge of the different neighborhoods, right? So, for example, you know, I've been doing this for about eight years.
Sean DennedyHOST
12:24
If someone were to say to me, hey, Sean, I've got a, you know, three-bedroom ranch, pretty well updated in Anderson Township, you know, has a full basement.
Sean DennedyHOST
12:32
What do you think we could price it at? Right away, I'm thinking somewhere in the mid to upper threes, right? If you told me the same house over in, say, Avondale, what do you think we could sell that for? Probably in the upper ones to low twos, right? So we as agents understand these neighborhoods.
Sean DennedyHOST
12:52
We understand the pricing for these neighborhoods.
Brian ThomasHOST
4:36
So important.
Brian ThomasHOST
4:37
And the, the, the whole thing, uh, Drew Pappas, former Anderson Township trustee, called up the other day.
Brian ThomasHOST
4:41
He's pointed this out, and I even used it as an example last night when I was talking for Leah Denkelocker.
Brian ThomasHOST
4:46
5 people, 5,000 people voted in the prior election and didn't show up in the subsequent election, which is why the trustees in Anderson Township are all Democrats now.
Brian ThomasHOST
4:56
You go from Lexi Lost to what you've got now.
Brian ThomasHOST
4:58
How in God's name did that happen in Anderson Township? People didn't go vote.
Brian ThomasHOST
5:03
And by all accounts, uh, Anderson Township not as blue as one p- might perceive it to be based upon the political makeup over there.
Brian ThomasHOST
5:10
Anyway, um, so get out and vote, and then you won't be inundated with this, even if you don't have one of these iPhones that allow you to, um, [laughs] prevent spam from coming in.
Brian ThomasHOST
17:46
Uh, and again, early voting starts Tuesday, so if you get it out of the way, at least you're not gonna be inundated with political ads, and you've gotten the job done.
Brian ThomasHOST
17:53
I mean, Drew, uh, Drew Pappas from Anderson Township was on the other day pointing out that the loss of 5,000 people who stayed at home resulted in Anderson Township now being, uh, uh, uh, run by Democrats.
Brian ThomasHOST
18:03
Formerly hard right, very reliably right-wing, for want of 5,000 bodies that voted in the prior election This is what it means.
Brian ThomasHOST
18:12
You've got to get out and vote.
Josh GerthGUEST
4:04
I did list a half a dozen or so things that to your point, may be considered shenanigans.
Josh GerthGUEST
4:10
And, you know, everyone's like, oh, it's not that big of a deal if the Anderson Township trustees break the law by holding a meeting they shouldn't have and getting fined $10,000 or the city not picking up your trash or, you know, a judge mouthing off about certain party that are inhumane.
Josh GerthGUEST
4:25
Active judge, might I say.
Josh GerthGUEST
4:26
It just, you know, but this is the kind of stuff that people don't really pay attention to.
Josh GerthGUEST
4:35
But you know what? Here's the big thing.
Josh GerthGUEST
4:37
All those things aside, let's focus on what the real problem is here.
Josh GerthGUEST
4:42
And last night in Anderson Township, we had our Anderson Republican Club meeting where we had Steve Misla, who the owner of the Norwood Skyline.
Josh GerthGUEST
4:49
Does anybody remember what happened in the Norwood Skyline a few months back? Does that even cross anyone's mind anymore when it comes to the fact that we have an election starting in a few days where a young woman was killed in broad daylight in a Norwood Skyline because of a man who was let out of jail, had 19 arrests, 19 arrests, and still was walking the street and able to walk in and murder his ex-girlfriend in broad daylight because of the fact that a liberal judge let him out of jail.
