Justin AragãoGUEST
44:09
So Benfica has both.
Justin AragãoGUEST
44:10
You have Trubin, who is more of just a pure shot stopper, reactionary, you know, style keeper who, you know, he's going to stay on his line.
Justin AragãoGUEST
44:17
He's not really going to come off his line.
Justin AragãoGUEST
44:19
He's going to stay there.
Justin AragãoGUEST
44:29
He's a reaction, you know, classic stop shot stopper kind of guy similar to duo costa you know whereas with samu it's hard to compare because a sweeper keeper is a different kind of expectation you know you almost kind of act as a third center back at points you're coming out you know very aggressive what
Mike AgostinhoHOST
44:43
he is yeah
Justin AragãoGUEST
44:44
um you have the ball your feet more and i think that's where the value really is so um i think maybe that's why truman ended up not leaving i think to have that as an option to have that pure shot stopper you know if you're getting a situation where samuel's confidence is getting low or he's giving the ball all over he's conceding goals he's playing around the ball okay now you can put you know there's a experienced shot stopper in there who can kind of shut the door if you need it so it's good to have both types of options available to you um obviously i think i'm perfectly fine with samuel being the starter i don't have any complaints with that but Um, there's a reason I think that if you guys try to renegotiate with Trubin on and get him on a lower salary and keep him around, I think that Marcos Silva appreciates having a different option at the secondary position because understanding Samu is young that, um, you know, things can go bad and his confidence could become shot and you want to have a reliable guy to turn to.
Justin AragãoGUEST
45:35
If, you know, like, for example, we go to the San Siro and Samu gets lit up three, nothing, you know, and you're going into the ground and, Maybe Samu is not feeling it.
John NevesHOST
15:06
We saw some players that did not leave.
John NevesHOST
15:08
Trubin did not leave Bafika.
John NevesHOST
15:10
That was an interesting situation, I thought, this summer.
John NevesHOST
15:14
Pavlidis had been in the news, maybe moved.
Justin AragãoGUEST
5:04
And we'll get into this maybe at some point, the goalkeeper thing.
Justin AragãoGUEST
5:06
I was like very surprised that Trubin was not moved.
Justin AragãoGUEST
5:11
I guess just nobody came calling.
Justin AragãoGUEST
5:13
I think that was just one of these kinds of things.
Justin AragãoGUEST
5:19
Right.
Justin AragãoGUEST
5:20
I just don't know how you're going to move forward with that because I just think the morale – in that goalkeeper room has got to be just Shaw.
Justin AragãoGUEST
5:28
I can't imagine Trubin is very happy to not have left in this window.
Justin AragãoGUEST
5:33
And, yeah, I just – I don't know.
MauricioPANELIST
56:48
We're going to get what we have, the 35.
MauricioPANELIST
56:51
And they're doing the same thing with Trubin.
MauricioPANELIST
56:53
You can tell Trubin wants to leave.
MauricioPANELIST
56:54
He's not happy.
MauricioPANELIST
56:56
He doesn't want to be someone.
Ricky SacksHOST
58:06
That, look, you want to, if you want to replace Kinski, then that's very difficult to do because of the nature of just those homegrown element issues that we've got.
Ricky SacksHOST
58:13
I mean, they've been linked to this goalkeeper, forgive me, this Anatoli Trubin, who I think has worked with De Zerbi previously before.
Ricky SacksHOST
58:24
And I was-- I mean, look, we were laughed at a few weeks ago for even bringing up Mudryk on this show.
Ricky SacksHOST
58:27
People were saying, "You're crazy.
Ricky SacksHOST
21:20
I don't know whether you can shed any lights on, any light on this.
Ricky SacksHOST
21:23
Uh, and again, I'm gonna try and pronounce the guy's name, Anatoliy Trubin, who is someone De Zerbi knows really well.
Ricky SacksHOST
21:29
Like I say, he's worked with him at Shakhtar Donetsk.
Ricky SacksHOST
21:31
I just wonder, have you heard any murmurs, Ben, whatsoever on Spurs in these final remaining days of the window looking at other potential goalkeepers to come in and rival Kinsky? And I just wonder what that means as well for Kinsky's mental state, if that was to be the case and we were to bring somebody else in.
Barnaby SlaterHOST
6:34
Make sure you follow Paul O'Keefe if you don't already.
Barnaby SlaterHOST
6:36
They've looked at Anatoliy Trubin as a potential option for goalkeeper.
Barnaby SlaterHOST
6:39
They looked at Emi Martinez, who has now, uh, gone to Chelsea.
Barnaby SlaterHOST
6:43
Chelsea have bought Emi Martinez from Aston Villa, which I think is a good signing for Chelsea.
Barnaby SlaterHOST
6:47
He is a great goalkeeper, but he's not the greatest with his feet, and you would've thought Xabi Alonso would want a keeper who's brilliant with his feet.
Barnaby SlaterHOST
6:54
The same with Roberto De Zerbi.
Barnaby SlaterHOST
6:56
How do you feel about Antonin Kinsky at Spurs? Not Anatoliy Trubin, Antonin Kinsky, who of course, uh, uh, didn't have the greatest of starts to this season.
Barnaby SlaterHOST
7:05
Maybe one, maybe even two of the goals against Brentford potentially down to him, or at least people think it was, or think they were.
Justin AragãoGUEST
47:33
Yeah, I mean, it's possible.
Justin AragãoGUEST
47:35
Um, another guy who didn't play today who definitely there's, the rumor mill has kind of cooled down on is our, uh, backup goalkeeper right now, Trubin.
Mike AgostinhoHOST
47:43
Yeah.
Justin AragãoGUEST
47:44
I thought today for sure he would play.
Justin AragãoGUEST
47:46
Um, just maybe even give Samu, like, I know they had a week off, but man, you know, it's... a guy on that big of a wage is just, like, not playing to nothing.
Justin AragãoGUEST
47:54
I mean, if you're gonna play Sudakov 'cause the price tag, like, how do you justify, like, putting Trubin on the bench then for that wage? And they also purchased him, so it's like, I don't know.
Justin AragãoGUEST
48:04
Like, how...
Justin AragãoGUEST
48:05
Like, nobody seems to be coming in for him.
Ricky SacksHOST
89:12
If I get the bloke's bloody name wrong, forgive me.
Ricky SacksHOST
89:14
Because, um, a goalkeeper that Spurs are apparently keeping an eye on, I'm gonna absolutely butcher his name now, please forgive me, is the Ukrainian goalkeeper, Anatoliy Trubin, who quite interestingly, De Zerbi worked with him during their time at Shakhtar Donetsk.
Ricky SacksHOST
89:33
And we're being told from a friend of the show, Paul O'Keefe, that is one to watch between now and the remainder of the window.
Ricky SacksHOST
89:42
I mean, after all we've gone through with Kinsky, just signed a new contract.
Ricky SacksHOST
93:02
That was absolutely sensational.
Ricky SacksHOST
93:04
But what's your thoughts on that, Dal? Like Marlon said there, by the fact, in this last 24 hours we've not been linked to one, we've been linked to two goalkeepers.
Ricky SacksHOST
93:12
Emi Martinez, who we know is desperate, I think, to leave Aston Villa, and now this, a goalkeeper that De Zerbi has worked with in the past, Trubin, the Ukrainian goalkeeper, Anatoliy Trubin.
Ricky SacksHOST
93:23
W- w- what do you make of the timing of this, Dal, as we go into, what, the final few days of the window? How surprised are you by goalkeeper links coming up now when it looked all but for certain Kinsky was definitely gonna be the number one? Is that maybe not the case going into these final days of the window? Or do you think because of the homegrown club trained issues, that makes it very difficult to navigate a way in which another goalkeeper comes in?
Ricky ItazuHOST
34:42
Go ahead.
Ricky ItazuHOST
34:44
Who? Jacob who? Trubin? Jacob Trubin.
Ricky ItazuHOST
34:49
The captain.
Ricky ItazuHOST
34:50
Jacob Truva would be the best signing the New York Islanders could make.
