Amy Taylor

Like they did, um, uh, In Spite of Ourselves.

Which is with Amy Taylor of Emil and The Sniffers.

Um-

Gotcha.

I, I feel like we ha- like, we, we could...

At some point we're gonna have to do an update on, like, the, the Amy Taylor trial, but-

Oh

...

It's not, like, drawing me in.

Well, the punk was in the front row, I think, with, um, uh, Suzy Su seated next to, um- Amy Taylor ...

Amy Taylor from Emma & the Sniffers- Oh ... who's done a campaign for McQueen recently.

Yeah.

Um- I can't see this, this l- what are you saying? This latex thing.

Well, one episode stands way above the rest.

That's episode 40 with Amy Taylor of breakout Aussie punk band Amel and the Sniffers.

When Amy came out to the podcast in 2001, Amel and the Sniffers were an upstart band with a dedicated following, but they weren't playing stadiums like they are now.

Over the past few years, the band has gotten bigger and bigger, and the number of ears on Amy's episode grew and grew.

Damn.

So it pains me to bring them up, but the first book is Ruins by Amy Taylor.

This was set, I think, in Italy, like a couple went on holiday in Italy or something.

I didn't get very far.

Um, shame we're doing it last year.

no sorry Wonder Horse were doing it with Shame and Cardinals and I remember I was just it's a good line up but I remember it was just when I started my new job and I was like I just don't have the energy to try and get out there but I really enjoyed Amethyst Sniffers yeah it's just fun very fun and Amy Taylor is brilliant like she's such a good she's mad she's batshit crazy but I think she owns it yeah she was very very emotional about Dolly Parton it was the day after she kept mentioning Dolly Parton she's like we gotta do it for Dolly because she's guys Dolly Parton fucking

ruled like

yeah I know but I just thought Dolly Parton was like I didn't think she was as culturally significant as she

Love them.

Love Amy Taylor.

That would be a dream if we ever made it to that level.

I'd like to work with Callum Spillane of Frog Soup.

You've had a big tour with Amal and the Sniffers.

Amy Taylor sings your praises.

She's called you an inspiration.

No, don't.
