So could you share a story of a woman and then how she transformed when she came to work for Rebel Nell?

What changed or what did you realize was maybe not the path for you anymore?

There were a couple of different things.

As I was growing, I worked really hard and kept getting different promotions.

But I really wanted to be on the baseball operations side.

And that was becoming increasingly difficult.

And at the time, I was living right next door to a woman's shelter in Detroit.

So I work all day, all night at the games, come home, talk to these incredible women, really left challenging situations in search of better opportunities, not only for themselves, but their families.

Was there like a certain conversation or something that happened in those actions with you that maybe shifted a little bit of your perspective on the ways in which women can show up in the world beyond sports?

I mean, what was it at that point? Was it that one guy? I mean, what else? I mean, what drives one to say, there aren't enough no's in the world, I'm going to get this?
