in 2020 so a little bit of back and forth there during this time just just go through your mindset of making that decision and how it all worked out going back and forth

yeah so when i was in the police originally i got to the stage where i just felt like my development had become a little bit stagnant and like i asked for opportunities but they weren't forthcoming I was just a little bit frustrated.

So I decided to take a bit of a leap and join the National Crime Agency, which was very scary.

Obviously, the only office job I'd ever worked at was the police, so it felt quite safe.

But I decided that I wanted to keep learning and keep developing as an analyst.

So I thought I'll try something different.

And I was posted to Operation Stovewood, which is a major investigation into historic child sexual abuse and exploitation in a town called Rotherham in the north of England.

I guess just to drive home the idea of intelligence officer versus intelligence analyst, you kind of hit on the analysis side, but I guess for an intelligence officer, what would be some tasks that position would entail?
