Amy Landecker

Olivia Wilde directs and stars alongside Seth Rogen, Edward Norton, and Penelope Cruz in The Invite, an adaptation of, I don't know how to pronounce this name, Shack? Love Shack? Gay's Spanish film The People Upstairs, in which a troubled marriage is tested by an unusual dinner invitation.

Finally, Amy Landecker, who I have no idea who this woman is, writes and directs and stars in For Worse, and it shows.

A semi-autobiographical comedy inspired by her experiences navigating divorce, dating, and a younger gentleman's wedding culture.

Shot in just 11 days, the film examines the indignities and possibilities of starting over in middle age.

It's fine.

Everyone gives serviceable performances.

Amy Landecker, this is like her.

She wrote, directed, and acted in this thing.

That was It Doesn't Tickle My Twasn't.

That had Jon Bernthal, Amy Landecker, and, well, Fred Thompson.

We've only done six episodes from season six.

Yeah, that's wild.

They all work so well independently.

Amy Landecker plays this person that owns the apartment that Misty Green is living in She has these great witty one-liners, but like I said, she's a great character in her own movie in some way.

And that's how all these characters felt to me, except for Misty Green.

But you know what? It is titled Misty Green, so it is all about her.

Yeah.

And, um, just random anecdote, but, like, also in that off-Broadway production in 2004 were Transparent's Amy Landecker as the lesbian best friend RC and-

Oh

...

...

Paul, with, with Amy Landecker, who you mentioned.

Th- this class, the, uh, the class of '87 at Francis Parker High School in Chicago.

There's four working actors, right? There's you, there's Amy, uh, there's Tim Griffin, and there's, uh, the late Anne Heche, who-

Yeah.

It doesn't seem so outrageous.

Um, and to your point about For Worse, which is this movie that Amy Landecker wrote, and directed, and starred in.

And you play her, her ex-husband in it.

Mm-hmm.

And so w- we'll do like, like we practice grammar where you instead of saying, "Oh, are you, like, a lesbian? Where's your wife?" You might say like, "Where's your partner?" Or, "Are they missing-"

I say, "Where's your partner" more now.

I try, yeah.

I love-

That was incredible

... love, love him and his wife, Amy Landecker.

They are so nice.
