And I'm wondering if any of you or all of you want to say...
10:18
I literally self-taped in my husband's apartment.
10:22
He's staying here doing a play today, just like she did in that thing where I'm setting up the tripod and... um my agents here my manager and I I complain about it constantly I couldn't believe how spot on this movie is with that like the authenticity of how what a nightmare it is to be an actor um so thanks Chris
10:44
I
10:44
appreciate um but yeah it's it's I just wanted to say one thing about him as a director, too, because I know you're probably going to get to that.
10:53
But we were talking backstage about how one of the best scenes that we all felt in the movie was the which is also dead on authentic is the medical exam when you get a job.
11:03
And they literally just like but that that actor was so fantastic.
11:08
And as someone with a small part in this who doesn't feel like I have a small part, that's really because of the writing and because of his directing and the casting.
8:38
Yeah.
8:38
I'm, oh, I'm sure, I'm sure I'm also like anyone you have on lately.
8:42
I just have to say how inspiring it is to see Constance recently back.
8:46
She's one of my favorite actors, and watching her in, um, Love Story and just stealing every fucking scene she was in, um, was just...
8:56
And to know that you guys are a part of this discussion of, like, the relentlessness that's required and, um, I don't know, it's also inspiring to me.
9:06
So, e- you know, I, I just wanted to f- I just wanted to say, like, it's when you see a friend who does that and you go, "Yeah, I can do it.
9:14
I can.

29:52
Mm.
48:47
it.
48:48
And...
48:49
And Andrew Elvis Miller was mine.
48:52
Michael Shannon played this part in New York.
48:54
And I was a different character in the New York production.
48:57
But I came out here to play the part that Carrie Coon actually just got nominated for a Tony for a Broadway production that just came out.
49:04
It's a really powerful play.
50:24
Yeah, so that you could,

1:56
[static] Amy, would you like to introduce yourself?
1:58
I'm Amy Landecker.
2:00
I'm an actress.
2:01
I have the pleasure of doing, um, some voiceover on animated series, like I'm the mom in Trollhunters, and I'm in a video game called Assassin's Creed, and I'm also, like, the good cow in the Lactaid commercials if you've ever seen that.
2:15
And then I get to do on-camera stuff.
2:17
I've been on shows like Grey's Anatomy, and I have a series called Transparent that no one should watch until they're at least 15, [laughs] but it has wonderful themes about acceptance and love.
2:27
And I'm in a movie with Jamie Foxx coming out on Netflix that's a sci-fi called Power, so hopefully some things that kids of all ages can enjoy.

2:37
[static] What values did your parents instill that are important to pass on to your own child?
6:25
Who is an actor or director that you would love to work with who would make your work better? Maybe you've already worked with
6:32
them.
6:35
Well, that's really interesting.
6:38
For some reason, like Jordan Peele is coming into my head.
6:41
Jordan Peele is one of those people who...
6:44
Like he had a real passion for horror, right? So his first film was Get Out.
6:52
Obviously I had a connection to that because Bradley was in it.

25:19
In what
3:02
boy there's very deep hopes off dash
3:07
massive regrets yeah um i mean it just brings up a lot and i i but i couldn't figure out what that looked like um and anjali cabral whose wedding it was she played my ex's new girlfriend in this movie and I would talk to her about it.
3:23
I was like, I want to make one of that.
3:25
And I did like a short, uh, that was some sort of attempt at figuring it out, but it was kind of like dark and weird and I hated it.
3:32
Um, and then I, uh, realized that I wanted to really try to do a very classic rom-com structure through this situation that I had been through which was also just kind of basically during my divorce behaving in ways that I felt unrecognizable to myself, you know? And we sort of related on that.
3:55
We met on Transparent and he was sort of the last piece to the puzzle because he's the happy ending.
4:02
Now, in the press tour, that's what's going to happen.
