Uh, so we'll talk more about the issue, but why don't you just tell listeners what is Fixation all about?

Yeah, so, um, a- as you mentioned, we're part of the IDL- IDW Crime Line, which is, we're the third of the launch wave titles, and it's really cool, 'cause so far, all of the IDW crime books are not licensed properties.

These are all original ideas.

Um, and so, uh, Fixation is a toxic fandom murder mystery story.

Um, each of the, the Crime Line books also kind of touches on something that's very topical, relevant to the modern world, and so we wanted to take a look at fandom culture.

Um- And so specifically, this is set in a world where one of the, you know, dominating teen vampire romance franchises is called Blood Mountain.

It was a series of books before it spawned a series of successful movies, and it's got quite a big fan culture around it.

this creepy, ugly vampire comes and gets him.

But then the whole rest of it is defined by, like, this roughneck biker is the one who's biting all his friends, and they're kind of like...

There's never an explicit, like, no homo moment with these guys, but, like, you know, oh, man biting another man, that's, you know, that's kinda queer.

But I love that throwaway bit where when Fatboy comes back from it, when they're like, "Oh, he's tough.

He'll be good," and he clearly isn't doing hot, and he bites somebody.
