So I know that the closer you can be to yourself on stage whilst still being in control of it, and it's still being choices you're making rather than you're accidentally sort of raw, you know, which can be dangerous.

So they'll do contour, which is...

Contour, if you've never watched anyone do it, I must insist you go and find a video.

They basically take a stick of makeup totally out of your skin range, and then they sort of line your face.

But so, like, they'll do a line along your cheekbone, a line along your jawline, sometimes a line down the middle of your nose, and then a huge amount on your forehead, and then they buff it in.

And so initially you're like, "This is crazy.
