Amy Allen

The song captures that bittersweet moment of healing after heartbreak, with the repeated line, Unlove You, serving as a quiet, powerful mantra for moving on from pain.

Lara worked alongside an impressive international team of songwriters for this one, including producer Ross Golan and Grammy winner Amy Allen, which really shows in the polished final product.

And Cat's Eye isn't slowing down anytime soon, with the group set to hit the stage at the 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles on October 18th.

YG Entertainment is gearing up for two brand new groups, and the news is coming straight from the top.

And all with, all with love.

When you work with people like Aaron Dessner, who you hadn't worked with before, and Amy Allen, one of the greatest writers, right, are you nervous going into this 'cause it's a different team than you worked with before?

Yeah.

I mean, I took, I remember I took, um, Jules and Nat actually for my first session with Aaron 'cause, 'cause yeah, I was nervous.

You may know Coyle from his work with The Cheven, his solo records, or from songs he's written with and for other artists.

Over the years, he's collaborated with writers and artists including Linda Perry, Amy Allen, LP, and Mac Davis, and his songwriting has even found its way to BTS.

During the conversation, Coyle and I spent a lot of time talking about Out of This Town, a collection of songs he wrote with Mac Davis nearly a decade ago that eventually found its home on Sun Records.

We talk about what Mac taught him about the craft of songwriting, Coyle's obsession with melody, his approach to singing and recording, and why sincerity remains so important to him as both a writer and performer.

...

I saw her.

And then, um, and then lots of, you know, other just fantastic songwriters, um, w- and artists within the, within, you know, music, like Amy Allen, who's absolutely slayed it and written almost every pop song seemingly in the last couple of years, and LP and, and, um, yeah, I mean, it just, the, the list is, is endless of like really amazing producers and songwriters that I've been fortunate enough to, to write with and work with.

And, um, and yeah, you just, I feel like you just take a little bit from everybody, and you give a little bit to them, and, and that's, that's the joy of collaboration, right? And you sort of keep-

They've collected legions of fans worldwide.

and written music with people like Benson Boone, Amy Allen, Amy Shark, the list goes on and on.

And they are now entering a new music chapter.

And in today's episode, we get a lot of teasers.

...

I mean, Amy Allen, are you insane?

[laughs]

Like, that's sh- her, it's insane how much-

And when you look at some of the previous recipients of this scholarship, that gets your attention.

Names like Laurie McKenna, John Legend, Jordan Davis, Baby Rexha, and Amy Allen have all been connected to that honour.

Which tells you the songwriting world has already been paying attention to Ava.

Her songs include Dreamboat, Roman Empire, Generations, and Five Year Plan.

Her self-titled track, Rosie, is very different from that.

And of course, when you look at who she's collaborating with, it's the same person who worked with her for APT, as of course, Allen previously worked on Rosie with Blackpink, Amy Allen to be specific, and the other writer slash producer is Andrew Wells.

So of course, when you look at that in totality, Rosie is definitely bringing back her trusted core co-workers that ended up helping her have one of the better tracks in the year of 2024.

With that being said, another thing I was wanting to get into was the overall music video numbers, because of course, 42 million views in five days is just insane.

So the reason why I list out the top 10 music videos in the year of 2026 is because this particular music video from Rosie titled New Trick, I believe, is definitely on pace to be one of the biggest music videos in the year of 2026 when it's all said and done because we're only nine months in.

So she... let me see 10 11 12 you know i gotta count it's there's three months left to rack up even more engagement and views to get this 42 million to at least 74 million which will put her in the top 10 but of course the main thing when it comes to rosie is the quality and sonically pleasing uh the sonically pleasing track that's definitely a shift in her usual art style so with this being more garage rock uh early 2000s pop rock type of sound it's very interesting how she refined that and put it out to the masses and it seems as if they're very much enjoying it and once again the entire music video which showcased throughout the music video is entirely shot on the iphone 18 pro And of course, the music video was directed by Dave Myers.

It, of course, also had Amy Allen, who worked with Rosie for APT, that was nominated for a Grammy, along with Bruno Mars.

So when you look at only six days after its initial release, notoriously affecting the masses like this, safe to say that this may shape up to be one of the biggest music videos in the year of 2026.

Such a bold departure from her usual sound, and it's exciting to see her experiment with this gritty punk edge.

With heavy hitters like Amy Allen behind the production, this track is definitely one to watch.

Now, let's dive into more headlines.

In major legal news shaking up the entertainment and business world, prosecutors have requested a hefty 20-year prison sentence for Kang Jong-hyun, the real owner behind several Bithumb affiliate companies and known publicly as actress Park Min-young's ex-boyfriend.
