AMP Building, Sydney

There's a building in Circular Quay called Quay Quarter Tower, which was actually a building that was well past its design life.

So I think it was The AMP Tower was built in 1976, I'm going to say.

Instead of bringing that building down, what they did was they just took off the outer facing and re-clad it, increased the floor span, re-clad the outside, and now they've created this incredible tower, Key Quarter Tower, and they saved about 66% of that internal core structure and, again, saved a huge amount of upfront carbon by not rebuilding those structures.

That took massive design engineering innovation in order to take, you know, 1970s concrete and attach it to fresh new concrete and get that all again certified for another 50 years worth of design life.
