Amon-Ra

Amen, the Jews will say that it translates to, "And so it be," or, "Let it be."

Amen Ra.

Or so it, so it will be.

Amen-

Ra

... is actually Amen Ra.

[chuckles]

Yeah.

So in one section, for example, she's referred to as the daughter of Ray of his body rather than son of Ray of his body.

But you can find her in some places, of course, with the masculine equivalent too.

And on one side at the top, on the pointed section, so you could think of it as sort of the pyramidion, the top of the obelisk, Hatshepsut is shown being crowned by Amun-Ray himself.

And this is a theme you see a lot in her reign.

Part of probably trying to make her reign acceptable is the real heavy emphasis on the god Amun-Re and him selecting her, as well as also her father Tutmosis I supposedly selecting her to be king.

He had all this knowledge, and I'm like s- you know, for the longest time, I felt like I was searching and searching, and I'm like, "What is it? What is it? What is it?" Along the way, you know, the lady comes, and she, she tells my dad some things that, uh, you know, during his 2007 encounter, the beings didn't mention, which were the divine feminine.

She gave some Egyptian names like Amun-Ra and Hathor and Ptah, or also known as Ptah.

And, um, these were things that at 18 years old, this was in 2012.

First encounter, I was 13.

Bay is a particularly noteworthy example.

Visiting the southern city, Bay went to Karnak, the house of Amun-Ra.

Apparently, he was impressed with the great temple and its gods.

He even scribbled a record of it on a small piece of limestone.

Quote, The royal scribe, the royal cupbearer, Bay, of the king of southern and northern Egypt, Seti Merneptah, Seti II.

He says to Amun-Ra, king of the gods, Come to me, O Amun, and deliver me.

I am a visitor from the north land.

Come, may you let me look over the beautiful city, just as I view its women.

Now, Hatshepsut built here for three specific reasons.

Firstly, it lay directly across from the great temple of the state god Amun-Ra.

Secondly, her offerings could be left for her soul for eternity, rather than disturbing the peace of her tomb.

And thirdly, this place was filled with scenes personally selected by Hatshepsut, illustrating and emphasizing her right to the throne.

Next of all, we have the two tall feathers at the top and the cow's horns, as worn by the great royal wife Nefertari, wife of Ramses II.

And then we move on to the twisted ram's horns.

Of course, various forms of ram's horns are associated with the great state god Amun-Ra, a favorite deity of Hatshepsut.

And finally, at the very heart of this very special crown, the sun disk.

Hidden gods tend to do well because they're omnipresent.

So Amun eventually merged with Ra to form the god Amun-Ra, who was like the best god ever, and all the Middle Kingdom pharaohs made temples for him and devoted all of their surplus to his glory.

The Middle Kingdom also developed an interest in conquering, specifically the new pharaoh's homeland of Nubia, and they developed a side interest in getting conquered, specifically by the Semitic peoples from the Levant.

They were able to conquer much of Egypt using superior military technology like bronze weapons and compound bows and chariots of fire.
