And finally, WeepingScorpion1982 shared over a truly quixotic project, the revival of Amiga Unix, or Amix.

This is a port of the classic, robust AT&T operating system to the Amiga 3000 and similar high-end classic Amigas.

Amiga Unix had a fairly brief and narrow life in the marketplace by time the Amiga IP is being traded around in the mid-90s, where you're well into the age of multiple competing flavors of BSD, which is Unix-like, but not actually Unix, as well as the first signs of life in what was about to become a massive market in Linux.

So people did not pay a ton of attention to the fact that Amiga Unix was not especially suited to running on machines with newer 68040 or 6806 processors.

It now has VGA.

There's an Amiga

version instead of a C64 version, which I spent most of the time in the Amiga version.

How was that? As long as you told it you had an Amiga 3000, so you could run the processor a little faster.

Yeah, a 68030, definitely.

Yeah, it was a slog on an Amiga 1000, 500, stock speed, 7 megahertz machine.

But if you gave it a fast CPU, you could get a decent frame rate.

But yeah, it's got better graphics.
