America's Best Comics

First appearing in the Top Shelf Ask the Big Questions anthology book in 2003.

This was originally meant to appear as a cobweb story in Tomorrow Stories, Moore's anthology title from America's Best Comics, until DC lawyers got nervous that the depiction of L. Ron Hubbard might stoke the ire of the Church of Scientology, and it was ultimately pulled from publication.

The story sees Cobweb, or sorry, Latoile, relating the tale of Jack Parsons, the rocket scientist and occult enthusiast who became a disciple of Aleister Crowley.

Jack Parsons is a really fascinating historical figure and really a pioneering scientist whose innovations eventually helped us get to the moon.

B for Vendetta.

But Moore's work on ABC Comics, like with Tom Strong, Promethea.

Yes, those are my favorites of his.

Promethea.
