That takes the Monday out of Monday, doesn't it? I mean, it makes it feel a lot better.

Let's talk about what you're cooking up over there at Americans for Prosperity AFP trainings going on.

We're going to find out how folks can get involved.

Medicaid managed care has become the dom-dominant approach across U.S. states.

Iowa is among 33 states that use an MCO model of managed care, while another nine states have a system of MCOs and primary care case management, or PCCMs, according to data compiled by the nonprofit healthcare reporting and advocacy organization KFF.

Reynolds, who has held the office since 2017, is not seeking re-election to another four-year term.

Sand, the state auditor who lives in Des Moines and is originally from Decorah, and Lane, a venture business owner from Belle Plaine, are campaigning to be the state's next governor.

I know they operate in different ways, and those are very, very blue states and very, very red states.

Ultimately, my goal is to make sure that with Medicaid, that we're getting good service, prompt payment, we're not using AI in the decision-making of claims at all, and also that we are not having vertical integration to make sure that the price is affordable, and we're not having perverse incentives of an insurance provider also owning a pharmacy or also owning a care provider." Sands' campaign has criticized Lane's previously advocacy work in Montana for the political advocacy organization Americans for Prosperity to oppose Medicaid expansion.

Lane addressed that earlier this year while appearing on Iowa Press.

In Kansas, some Republican lawmakers now say they want to tighten restrictions and oversight after earlier legislation had made it easier for the police to deploy license plate readers.

In Tennessee, the state chapter of Americans for Prosperity, which has backed some of the state's top Republicans, celebrated a unanimous Knox County Commission's vote last week to remove flock cameras.

The ordinance was signed by the outgoing mayor, Glenn Jacobs, a Republican better known as the wrestler Kane.

Wrestler as in wrestling.

Most of that state legislatures had been majority won by Republicans before Donald Trump came down his escalator.

That was done through orchestrated big-money politics, astroturfing, from the American Legislative Exchange Council, from Club for Growth, from Americans for Prosperity, this litany of right-wing think tanks and astroturf operations that built an infrastructure that Donald Trump hijacked more than anything.

And if you scratch the surface of the Republican Party, you will find deeply divided people.

you will find a deeply divided party, and which also provides opportunity for Democrats in rural areas.

And so this level of engagement, especially from the White House and the sitting president, you know, it doesn't happen that often.

And so I think where you're seeing with, uh, the Whatley campaign and where the North Carolina Senate race stands, um, you have MAGA Inc., you have SLF, you have Americans for Prosperity.

They all have been doing some, but those numbers are going to continue going up, I think, here in the last two months of the election.

Really kind of a sleepy, um, ad war to this point.
