American Heart Association, the American Stroke Association, one of the major medical centers, a lot of places that have a lot of research behind it have good websites that they can give you good advice.

I imagine that some people underestimate their risk for stroke also because it might just seem like, oh, that's something that happens to people who are 100 years old.

And stroke doesn't just happen to people who are 100 years old.

So for example, you know, you were at the International Stroke Conference, as, uh, was I, and we had a session.

So we came out, American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association published a scientific statement, which I led earlier this year on prevention and treatment of maternal stroke.

And we had this session where we discussed this statement at the International Stroke Conference, and we had a survivor with us who was on our panel.

And she gave a talk, and now she had a hemorrhagic stroke, and I, I can say all this 'cause she's very, very public about [laughs] all of this.

The three-month extension follows the agency's acceptance of additional Phase III HOPE III data as a major amendment to the biologics license application.

Days later, on August 27, the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association published the 2026 guideline for adult stroke rehabilitation and recovery in the journal stroke, replacing the organization's 2016 guideline on the same topic.

The new document reflects a literature search conducted through late 2025 and introduces updated or new recommendations across nearly every stage of stroke recovery, from acute hospitalization through long-term community reintegration.

Participation in multidisciplinary rehabilitation therapies is critical to reduce neurological impairment and improve function after stroke.

Because of the varied nature of body structure and function impairments that can occur, improving function requires a combination of restorative and compensatory interventions.

More specific studies of patients receiving rehabilitation at multiple stages of recovery are needed.
