My wife is an Idaho pharmacist.

She used to work at APHA and AACP, so kind of the alphabet soup of pharmacy family here.

When we decided we wanted to have a family, looked at moving back to Idaho, which is where she's from, the skies opened up from the heavens.

Around that time, we were talking about moving back to Idaho.

And The relationship between someone in front of you and your local pharmacist and the patient is really worth something.

Practically, I'd encourage pharmacists to stay, if they can, stay grounded in the literature, the primary literature, and also from professional guidance from, sorry, professional organizations like the American Pharmacists Association or the American Academy of Pediatrics, which have remained pretty consistent throughout this period.

When a patient comes in with something that they may have heard from a federal official that contradicts the evidence, the answer isn't to dismiss the source.

It's to say, here's what the data actually shows.

The refusal of pharmaceutical companies to allow their products to be used in executions has made it increasingly difficult for states to procure the drugs necessary to carry out executions, leading to clandestine meetings between law enforcement and questionable sources for killing drugs.

In 2015, the American Pharmacists Association adopted a policy discouraging pharmacists' participation in executions on the basis that such activities are fundamentally contrary to the role of pharmacists as providers of healthcare.

In 2016, the American Nurses Association issued a revised statement that not only indicated that registered nurses should have nothing to do with ex- executions, but that their association was against the death penalty.

For their part, the pharmaceutical companies have by and large released not only statements against the death penalty, but refused to sell their drugs to prisons.
