But the study that was just published, I think it was in the Gray Journal, AJOG, in March, that was a study that looked at pre-dosing for 24 hours with ibuprofen prior to IUD insertion.

So they Gave people, I believe, 800 milligrams of ibuprofen every eight hours for the 24 hours leading up to the IUD insertion.

And they showed clinically significant improvement in pain reduction.

So problem solved, right? Well, this has been a controversial issue and it's gone back and forth in the literature.

And lo and behold, in the month of August, 2026, In two sister journals, one is from the Gray Journal, that's AJOG, and then the other is from the Pink Journal, which is AJOG MFM, both same month, sister journals have the exact same question that they're trying to answer, which is this.

Does it matter if there was early FGR, early meaning diagnosed at time of the anatomy scan, which, by the way, that's the earliest that we can typically diagnose FGR.

Otherwise, we're not going to call it, you know, a 16 week or FGR.

So this is why I said earlier, it could be just in the definition of what they said, severe morbidity, because neither of these were linked to stillbirth as long as it resolved.

They did not have prolonged NICU admissions, which is both a good sign.
