American Horror Story: Freak Show

in New Orleans, Coven and Freak Show, which I think is one of the most underrated seasons-

Uh, but probably Freak Show is my favorite.

but they also there was a crossover with Asylum and Freak Show with there was one of the pinheads in where she had to wear her mittens and she was in Freak Show as well so this is not a new concept oh no no I

know but I mean to have such an Avengers assemble

Um, 'cause we have Elsa from Freak Show back-

... for a bit part.

And, I mean, I don't think we saw any new tricks in this, uh, episode, but it's, it's the familiar wheelhouse that we know, uh, of AHS aesthetic.

Yes.

Um, you know, we already talked about this a little bit, but Jessica Lange is back as Elsa from Freak Show.

Mm-hmm.

I'm actually getting my roof done, so I'm trying to record here in between all of the banging above me.

But I think for me, the highlight of these three episodes is obviously getting some of these characters back, particularly Elsa from Freak Show.

I absolutely loved that season.

And to see her performing down there with the apocalypse crew and the sacrifices going on, I am so here for everything Jessica Lange is bringing to this season.

Of course, that didn't happen because they were interrupted by a slew of serial killers.

And I'm still not counting Cordelia out because let's face it, they are witches.

And there have been resurrections before timeline shift so we don't quite know if she's actually dead but even if she is you know what we've still got sarah paulson in other ways here i hope that we get to see more twisty the clown as well and i wouldn't mind seeing more of our freak show cast i just love that season michael chickless like where are you and also i know i'm a little all over the place again this whole roofing situation is kind of throwing off my whole vibe i'm trying to speak in between all of the work that they're doing but Hearing too that Ashley had taken that Xanax and that helped her survive, I thought was interesting because she didn't brace for impact.

And it makes me think, You know what? Maybe I should be taking Xanax on any flight I ever go on.

Oh, she was also in, in, um, American Horror Story: Circus.

Oh, yes.

When I saw we were doing this and I saw the press photos for this, and it was like, "Here's Jessica Lange and here's that clown from the Freak Show season," I thought what they were doing was sort of a, "So you wanna get back into the franchise?" r- sort of reset or at least sort of-

... like, beginner friendly.

And then FX just put it on the air.

Yeah.

The only person I had sympathy for in all three episodes, and the character's on screen for a total of about six seconds max, was when clown guy from Freak Show goes to the clown improv class and ends up throwing knives in people's foreheads.

Um, so I think maybe I could watch them.

I will say, in general, American Horror Story is not gory to me except for Freak Show.

No.

So if that is the season you started with, I get why you would think it's gory.

Freak Show was incredibly gory.

Yeah, yeah.

I didn't even like Freak Show.

Well-

Obviously, season one, Murder House, my favorite.

Then I'm going to have to go Coven and then Freak Show and then Asylum.

Then I'd go, I guess, Hotel, Roanoke, Cult, Apocalypse, 1984, Double Feature.

And New York and Delicate are tied for last because I never finished either one.

Well,

I've only seen one season, and it was the freak show season.

Okay.

And I thought that one was really good.

the only four that I know.

American Horror Story, the first one.

Coven, Asylum, and Freak Show.
