American Buffalo

George Washington and John F. Kennedy will each receive new portraits created specifically for their denominations.

And speaking of resurrections, a one-tenth-ounce reverse-proof American Gold Buffalo is scheduled for release this December 10th, celebrating the series' 20th anniversary.

Bearing a 20th privy mark, it will be the first fractional gold buffalo issued since 2008.

The coin revives the smaller format with James Earl Frazier's familiar designs originally created for the 1913 Buffalo Nickel.

Its reverse-proof finish gives the raised designs a mirrored appearance against frosted fields.

It's an old favorite, all dressed up for the occasion.

So you have that.

You also have the Gold Buffalos that are pure gold.

So it just depends on your preference there.

They both have a full ounce of gold in them, though.
