I suspect a good piece of it is policy related.

I will also say that, you know, ABOG more recently updated their leave policy for trainees and that a number of the pregnancies that were captured in our survey occurred before that change went into place.

But I think some of it's probably cultural, too.

More from an aspect, I think, of trainees feeling averse to extending their training.

So I think perhaps normalizing delayed graduation just to take the stigma away from it may be a reasonable first step.

And I think it's definitely one that's worth considering, I think, on an individual basis.

As you mentioned, Dr. Goon, ABOG updated their leave policy in 2020.

But given that most of the pregnancies by the survey participants predated that change, do you have any sense of whether things have actually improved since then? Dr.

You're an ABOG-certified GYN oncologist, and you've been actively practicing for about 20 years.

Now, I know lots about you.

I had the most fortunate experience of just running into you at an ACOG meeting earlier in the year and being introduced.

It also means as a physician, besides trying to keep up, you got to kind of keep up with what's out there in the ecosystem, what your patients may be seeing.

And I think that's part of the responsibility of physicians going forward.

You know, one of the things that has surprised me being in this role at ABOG is that how many of our employees have come forward and said, You know, I didn't really understand until I worked here the importance of certification and how to identify whether my doctor is board certified or not.

We have a tool that we'll talk a little bit more about on our website so you can go look up whether your doctor is board certified or not.

I mean, we're still forcing it.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine are still pushing this poison in pregnant

women.

It is so wrong.

She is a double board certified OBGYN and reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist practicing at Beverly Hills Fertility.

She's one of the select group of physicians who serves as a subject matter expert for the American Board of OBGYN, helping shape the rigorous board exam for future fertility specialist.

And so it's just menopause has not been a priority for ACOG.

They're very busy taking care of reproduction, reproductive rights, which are, you know, like all, ABOG is training residents, and you have to train differently in each state because of the laws are different.

So I get it, and I'm so happy that Menopause Society is there kind of stepping up to fill that gap.

But ACOG has not adopted Menopause Society guidelines.
