Leaving here was easy, coming back was tough Until I saw this town I thought I'd had it rough Rolled real hard and put away when Still don't think we've seen the worst of it yet Yeah, the factory shut down back in 93 Now this town's just a shell of what it used to be.

Damn gas jumped back up to 305.

I'm playing Take Root Festival.

I think American Aquarium is on that.

And a few other artists are still being booked for that.

And then I've got a headlining show in London tomorrow.

Because I always bring this up.

I was talking to BJ from American Aquarium.

I've listened to all these bands my whole life.

I don't know anything about their personal life from their music.

And what makes it really cool, too, is that we use one of our presses to press that album.

And at the same time, we had American Aquarium's new album on the other press.

And so we had like this hometown hero situation happening that like we have the big famous superstar, you know, and then American Aquarium, which are famous in their own sense.

But like all the things that happen in this building and how they all touch each other and like how they they all connect is really cool.

And J. Cole started the Dreamville Festival, right? I bet that was awesome to meet him.

I mean...

It makes me think back to stumbling upon a Joe's on Weed Street show of Turnpike Troubadours and American Aquarium and my brain expanding that day.

Holy cow.

But, yeah, they'll talk about shit, and I'm like, I don't remember saying that, but thank you for listening, and thank you for remembering me.

It always amazes me when guys like BJ Barham from American Aquarium can remember people.

I mean, like, we went to him.

We went and saw him in Barnesville, Oklahoma.

And it was Kendall's first time, like, seeing the full band.

Like, we'd seen BJ at Hangover Ball together.

But it was her first time seeing American Aquarium.

And we walked up.

Yeah.

What about, have you come around an American aquarium yet? Or have you had a chance to, I only asked because I got a message whenever the bat signal started going out on, we posted like an Instagram and a reposted in the feed.

And Jim Mitchell, one of the listeners who used to always reach out and who sent me very many wellness checks that I only answered a few.

And Jim, I appreciated every single one of them.

But he got really into American Aquarium recently.

It just reminded me because he's seen BJ eight times now or something like that.
