American Airlines Flight 77

According to the National September 11th Memorial and Museum, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airlines.

Two planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, causing both towers to collapse.

A third plane, American Airlines Flight 77 was crashed into the Pentagon outside Washington, D.C. in Arlington, Virginia.

Passengers and crew on the fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, which had been aimed at Washington, D.C., fought back against the hijackers, forcing the plane to crash into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

On August 24th, long after both entered the United States, these two Muslims were finally added to the State Department's terrorist list.

As this terrorist list was not integrated into the domestic security infrastructure, both men were able to purchase airline tickets for American Airlines Flight 77 on September 11th.

We knew these guys.

They were on some terrorist list, but they still were able to get on that plane.

So American Airlines Flight 77 was a Boeing 757 struck the west facade of the Pentagon at approximately 937 a.m.
