Chaim Nachman Bialik, famous as the Jewish people in Palestine's national poet, cried in his eulogy for Chaim Arlazarov, Cain, where are you? Menachem Ussishkin, the president of the Jewish National Fund, said in his eulogy for Arlozaroff that, quote, "A new page has been opened in the annals of the resurrection of the nation and its sons in the land, the first time a Jew has been killed by Jewish evildoers." This new page was a page two in the chapter that would one day include the story of the Altalena.

Fourteen years after Arlozaroff was killed, in June 1947, almost seven years after Vladimir Ze'ev Jabotinsky died at a Betar youth movement summer camp in Hunter, New York, in the Catskills, the United States Navy sold to a shipping company called Three Star Line of Lake Charles, Louisiana, a war surplus ship, the USS LST-138, LST standing for Landing Ship Tank Vessel, built in 1943 in the American Bridge Company shipyard in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, and the ship had been deployed in the invasion of Normandy on D-Day.

20:21
The Three Star Line in the event was a front for something called the Hebrew Committee for National Liberation, an American organization created by a man named Hillel Kook, who went by the name of Peter Bergson in part to hide the fact that he was the nephew of the chief rabbi of mandatory Palestine, Rav Avraham Yitzhak HaCohen Kook.
Noah EfronHOST
20:43
After Jabotinsky's death, Hillel Kook had made common cause with Benzion Netanyahu, who had moved to the United States with Jabotinsky to drum up support for Jewish resistance to the British in Palestine.

So a couple of the guys who were supposed to be there, Pat included, came down with COVID unfortunately the night before the show but we it was my personal first experience at what has become one of our biggest shows of the entire year the locomotion weekend at the formerly Carnegie Science Center now it's called the Common Science Center but Mike was able to get us into that and we had a small t-track set up with just three of us there was Mike tom catalano and myself but that was that was my first experience with helping to set up a t-track layout and it was all mike's modules because neither tom nor i had made any modules yet so that was kind of first experience that that we had with what would become the iron city t-track layout so Always great to catch up with Mike again, and he's had a recent kind of exciting development.

He's been a longtime member of a model railroad club called the Ohio Valley Lines, which I believe is in Ambridge, PA.
BradHOST
21:11
Is that right, Mike? Yes, that's correct.
BradHOST
21:13
Okay, and so Mike has been a longtime member of that club, and was recently – became, was it an election, Mike, or did somebody step down and you filled in? I know you became the president.
Mike DeSensiGUEST
21:42
Well, thanks, guys.
Mike DeSensiGUEST
21:43
I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to give me a chance here to talk about the club and all of the good stuff that we've been doing.
Mike DeSensiGUEST
21:51
And, you know, so to just say, I feel like I lead two lives, right? I have my Iron City life with the T-track and everything that goes on with the the Iron City group, and then I also have the Ohio Valley Lions group, which is a permanent club in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, which is north of Pittsburgh on the Ohio River.
Mike DeSensiGUEST
22:18
I kind of was asked to be in this president position with Ohio Valley Lions.

Meanwhile, as that bill awaits further consideration, other municipalities are restricting these as well.
Colin WilliamsPANELIST
21:14
So Ambridge, McCandless, Plum, and Marshall Township have all implemented or are considering restricting the use of e-scooters and e-bikes on any municipal property.
Colin WilliamsPANELIST
21:24
Apparently, this is to prevent park paths and stuff from getting rutted up.
Colin WilliamsPANELIST
21:27
There were issues with people doing donuts on emotos and things like that.

Right, from that Texas plant.

Yeah, remember that $1.8 billion Bay City Greenfield plant? Combine that with the massive ex-IPSCO assets they acquired in Coppell and Ambridge, Pennsylvania.
speaker_1HOST
18:54
Because they have established this sprawling domestic infrastructure, they get to sit safely behind that 50% tariff wall.
