Amber Morley

Not because we have any indication it'll be like close or a huge battleground.

But I think it'll be interesting because Councilor Amber Morley flipped that ward in 2022.

It does tend to lean center right to conservative voters.

And she initially was up against somebody who was actively suing her, but they withdrew on the last day.

And there are very few bicycles, except unless the bicycle enthusiasts organize a day when they're going to ride a bunch of bicycles along Bloor and they have to go collect people in downtown Toronto to go do it.

That's what happened when there was a big get-together and meeting with Amber Morley, the counselor, who you could tell at the meeting, because I was there, didn't care what people had to say, and all of these bicycle riders from other parts of the city.

I'm from that part of the city, especially now, where I have, you know, since I used to live over by Centennial Park.

But where I live now, I'm actually over in that area all the time.

Sure, that's going to cost money.

But what if it improves traffic? What if it improves safety? I want to reemphasize that safety aspect on the bluer lines.

I had someone write to me this morning, anticipating that I would do this, I guess, and say by text, I was part of all those bicycles that rode out there for that meeting with Amber Morley and claimed there was a thousand of them.

I don't know how many there were.

But okay, so yesterday we did back to backs here.

Our local councilor here, Amber Morley, dropped by for an hour chat, and then Michael Longfield, who's with, uh, Cycle Toronto, we did a half an hour catch up because there's been a lot of news this, I guess it came out Friday.

But, uh, there was, uh, an appeal by Doug Ford's Progressive Conservative Party, and Ford won this appeal.

So basically, uh, in a nutshell, it says, uh, if Ford wants to rip up those 19 kilometers of bike lanes tomorrow, he's within his rights to do so.
