Amazing Fantasy #15

are these all in the mainstream Earth 616 continuity? I don't want any alternate universes or ultimate reimaginings.

Are each of these comics the real deal going all the way back to Amazing Fantasy 15 or whatever? And she did, in fact, confirm that for me.

Well, to me, it – honestly, for being the 999th issue of this comic, it seemed like it was – all of the old spider-man tropes that we've had since amazing fantasy 15. you know the issue starts out where peter and may who honestly i was kind of surprised to even find that may was still around me too i mean i mean how many times just in the comics we know back we have read back and forth Has Aunt May died, almost died, been abducted? You know, for all I knew at this point, you know, he made a deal with the devil and swapped her for something else.

And

So now he's going, now he's going into, uh, Peter's history and basically how he became Spider-Man, shit like that.

And basically everything they're telling is exactly how it was in Amazing Fantasy 15.

It's like that.

I'm like, okay, that's pretty cool right there.

He wouldn't have shot on his uncle, so yeah.

So it all comes full circle, shit like that.

So basically, like I said, the dialogue that was in there was the exact same dialogue from Amazing Fantasy 15.

It's just expanding- That story about this no-name cop.

This story is full of callbacks.

The opening is a homage to Amazing Fantasy 15.

The kid's name is a portmanteau of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, at this point the main two actors to have played Spider-Man, not counting Nicholas Hammond.

Peter's experiment is sabotaged in the same way the experiment that created Captain America was.

Actually might be an Easter egg.

First appearance, Amazing Fantasy 15, 15 spiders.

Could be.

Sam Raimi is a nerd.

But I, you know, I was quite obsessed with collecting.

And, you know, at one time, I actually owned Amazing Fantasy 15, which is the first Spider-Man.

I don't have it.

You know, I could probably buy a house for that now if I had.

Sure.

It's when they started becoming more expensive than some of the things like than the comic book itself, you know, like because we've seen plenty of comments on the post that have been made where people are like, oh, you should just buy an amazing fantasy 15 or whatever else.

And it's just like.

That's not necessarily what it's about.

You know, if there's some red on there, they do really tend to pop like Secret Wars 8 looks really good in there.

I imagine like a New Mutants 87 is going to look pretty good in that.

Amazing Fantasy 15, Amazing Spider-Man 300.

Like there are certain books that really do look good with the red in the label.
