The amateur radio on the International Space Station programme is an opportunity for educational organisations to host an amateur radio contact with a crew member on board the International Space Station.

The window to submit an application is now open and ends on the 23rd of October.

This is for a contact to take place between July to December 2027.

ARISS USA is pleased to announce that Jackie Bulmer, KC9LEH, has been appointed Associate Director of ARISS USA, Amateur Radio on the International Space Station.

Jackie is a nationally recognized science educator with an emphasis on space education.

In her work as an educator, she has often incorporated amateur radio into her curriculum as a teaching tool.

In addition to her many responsibilities at ARISS USA, Jackie has recently served as business development coordinator and logistics manager for ARISS USA.

MarmotSat, the satellite launched last month aboard a SpaceX rideshare mission, has received Canada's first official OSCAR designation.

This comes at an important time as Canada gains a higher profile in the world of satellites.

OSCAR is an acronym for Orbiting Satellite Carrying Amateur Radio.
