Amariah

Of the sons of Bani, Maadai, Amram, Uel, Benaiah, Bedeiah, Cheluhi, Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib, Mattaniah, Mattaniah, Jasu.

Of the sons of Binnui, Shimei, Shelemiah, Nathan, Adaiah, Machnadebai, Sharshai, Sharai, Azarel, Shelemiah, Shemariah, Shallum, Amariah, and Joseph.

Of the sons of Nebo, Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Jadai, Joel, and Benaiah.

All these had married foreign women, and some of the women had even borne children.

But some of the people of Judah and Benjamin resettled in Jerusalem.

From the tribe of Judah, Athaliah, son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son of Mahalalal, of the family of Perez; also Maaseiah, son of Baruch, son of Col-Hozah, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, and the family of Shelah.

There were four hundred sixty-eight descendants of Perez who lived in Jerusalem, all outstanding men.

From the tribe of Benjamin: Sallu, son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedahiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jeshaiah.

Some of the Levites who lived in Judah were sent to live there with the tribe of Benjamin.

Here's a list of the priests and the Levites who returned with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the high priest: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra, Amariah, Malluch, Hattush, Shecaniah, Harim, Meremoth, Iddo, Ginnethon, Abijah, Minaamin, Moadiah, Bilgah, Shemaiah, Joiarib, Jedaiah, Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, and Jedaiah.

These were the leaders of the priests and their associates in the days of Jeshua.

On the sealed document are the names of our princes, our Levites, and our priests.

On the seals are the names of Nehemiah the governor, the son of Hachaliah, Zedekiah, Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah, Pashur, Amariah, Malchijah, Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch, Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah, Daniel, Ginnethon, Barech, Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin, Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah.

These are the priests and the Levites.

Jeshua, the son of Azaniah, Benenuiah, of the sons of Hinodad, Kadmiel, and their brothers Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan, Mica, Rehob, Hashabiah, Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah, Hodiah, Bani, Beinnu.

Introduction.

This is the Lord's message that came to Zephaniah, son of Cushi, son of Gedaliah, son of Amariah, son of Hezekiah, during the time of Josiah, son of Amon, king of Judah.

The Lord's day of judgment is approaching.

"I will destroy everything from the face of the earth," says the Lord.

Lists of Priests and Levites.

As for the Levites, in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan, and Jaddua, there were recorded the heads of fathers’ houses; also the priests until the reign of Darius the Persian.

A reading from the book of Ezra.

After this, in the reign of Artaxerxes, king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, son of Azariah, son of Hilkiah, son of Shallum, son of Zadok, son of Ahitub, son of Amariah, son of Azariah, son of Meraioth, son of Zerahiah, son of Uzzi, son of Bukki, son of Abishua, son of Phinehas, son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the chief priests.

This Ezra went up from Babylonia.

He was a scribe skilled in the law of Moses that the Lord, the God of Israel had given, and the king granted him all that he asked for the hand of the Lord, his God was on him.

"Because of all this, we make a firm covenant and write on it, and our princes, our Levites, and our priests set their seal to it." Chapter 10.
