So what is envisioned is like this nice little one act, you know, quiet, you know, play.

And then Alan McCullough had an enviable task of writing that into an episode where they tried to fill out some of Shepard's backstory.

He's the prodigal son, ran off, and his family's rich, and his... brother thinks he ran off but at the end he's okay with it and then they just run around trying to like find a replicator where if they got the technology from like the you know miller's crossing episode that was only like a few weeks i mean even in story time it would only be a few months ago um which is not a lot of time to create a human form replicator considering how long the agents took to do it but this guy you know pool who doesn't seem very smart managed to do it twice with ava and with the other guy Samantha Carter, Amanda Tapping is in this episode where if she only signed on for a certain number of episodes, this was kind of a waste.

You know, she has one line.

McKay has one line.

So a couple final fun facts.

This was Amanda Tapping's 200th episode.

Oh, yay.

And this is also the final appearance of Donna S. Davis in the Stargate series in any capacity.
