So, uh, the first time we ever played Pure Dice was in Vegas.

Um, so I'm, I'm thinking it was a Vegas release, so I guess it is still kind of the hotness.

Uh, but it is a two-player only, um, little dice game.

So you're gonna set up, um, of the quarry here, and you're just gonna roll all the dice and put them in this little middle quarry.

Um, everybody's gonna have their own player board, and then on the side, there's goals that you're working towards.

So, like, on this bottom, uh, all the dice have to be the same number.

Beets Harvest, do you have any crazy Beets stories that stick out with all the years? I mean, I'm sure you have a ton of stories, but...

yeah i mean the job itself is sort of unremarkable right it's it's if you really think about what beat harvest is it's laughable it's dark comedy it's a total joke you're the most absurd middleman who runs a machine that separates a crop from dirt or mud if it rains and the sheer people power that that requires to make that task happen just is bananas and it's sort of it's the same thing over and over again you close your eyes at night and you just see the conveyor belt full of shit happening it's like what happens in the in-between moments that really makes that entire experience every one of those eight years absolute magic I have a good friend whose birthday was always during Beet Harvest.

And she was one of the first gals that I ever met on the crew out there.

And so we would sort of pray, if you will, for a day off.

near her birthday and you know we would I sort of alluded to this earlier but we would all walk out to this abandoned train bridge over the Yellowstone River and the train tunnel had just enough curve in it that at some point when you're in the tunnel It's the darkest thing you've ever experienced.

There's zero light happening.

And so we would all gather together and we would have our instruments and our pallets.

Can you just kind of walk everybody through the non-glamorous parts of being a news anchor and all the other things that people don't see behind the scenes?

Well, I think also people think that...

So people think that you walk in to the newsroom and you're handed your script and you're given your story and you go out there with a photographer and you just read whatever's on the prompter.

And you have a makeup artist and, you know, like, then you just, like, go home and you do a little social media here and there.

It is not like that.

Like, it's not like that at all whatsoever.

Like, there's a lot of times where you're working before work because we are the ones who have to find our news stories most of the time.

And

All children, all people will have fallout.

So with a neurospicy person, that might not be right away.

So sometimes you might see that days to weeks later after an event, and you sit there, and they've had a full meltdown, and you're like, "What on earth has even happened?" Nothing is out of the blue.

Nothing is out of changed.

Oh, that was their ...

They've just decided now they're processing something that happened a few weeks ago, and it takes a little minute to piece it together.

My child struggles to go to sleep," and if the other person, if they don't accept any diagnosis or anything, will often say, "They don't do that at my place." And that could be, Amanda, couldn't it, that they are melting down in their safe place?

Whatever quality, good, reliable precipitation data that we could have.

Um, and the CREST, uh, I can't remember.

I don't know for sure what CREST stands for, but, um, it's more, it's more utilized for, like, flash flooding scenarios rather than, uh, like riverine flooding and things like that.

You don't see any other cultures fighting like we're fighting.

Uh, men of course come to us too, but we, we think we have so many, we think we have so many options, but a man's nature is to chase a woman.

So I don't think we have as many options as they think we, as we think we have.

When a woman comes to a man, he's, she probably thinks he's a little bit more valuable.
